Three heritage houses have refreshed favourites this season, and each has chosen a different scent family. Dior has reworked Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, Guerlain has reinterpreted L'Heure Bleue, and Chanel has added Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu to a fragrance first created in 2001.
The question for the reader is less which is best than which suits you. This guide goes through each one note by note: a rose-led chypre with vanilla, an iris-led amber floral and a bright grapefruit and patchouli.
Prices below are UK prices as printed by the sources. Regional titles, including Grazia Middle East, covered the launches, but none of the sources gives Gulf retailers, dirham prices or regional launch dates, so it is worth checking with each house's Middle East team before you buy.
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum
Miss Dior dates from 1947. This new Eau de Parfum is a fresh interpretation by Francis Kurkdjian, Dior's Perfume Creation Director. According to Harper's Bazaar Arabia, it is still rose-led but warmer, creamier and more gourmand than the 2021 version.
The notes are a peppery, honeyed rose with vanilla, almond, tonka bean, patchouli, rosewood and milky sandalwood. Who What Wear UK describes it as more of a chypre, meaning earthy and woody, than the fruitier 2021 version, and lists it at £150.
The bottle has changed too. Its bow now carries Dior's houndstooth motif, woven by Ateliers Faure, and the bows are interchangeable. They come in pink jacquard, black and white, denim blue, and pink and silver. Natalie Portman, a Miss Dior ambassador for 15 years, fronts the campaign, which was shot on the streets of Paris.
Best for: readers who like rose with a warm, creamy base, and who already enjoy vanilla or sandalwood.
Guerlain L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum
Delphine Jelk, Guerlain's perfume creation director, has reinterpreted L'Heure Bleue, which dates from 1912. Grazia Middle East calls it the Maison's biggest launch in nearly a decade.
The top notes are an ozonic accord with pear and almond or neroli. At the heart are iris butter and a house-made iris tincture with orange blossom or jasmine. The base is vanilla and ambroxan, with musks according to Guerlain.

The inverted-heart bottle is refillable. Guerlain UK lists the 30 ml at £78, the 50 ml at £109 and the 100 ml at £149, with a refill at £173, though the page showed the refill as temporarily unavailable.
For collectors, Guerlain also made 66 numbered Exceptional Pieces, each a 1.5 litre bottle covered in 12,224 gems set in 24-carat gold-plated bronze by the Istanbul designer Begüm Khan. A trio of limited-edition Rouge G lipstick cases in blue shades accompanies the launch, according to Journal du Luxe.
Best for: readers drawn to iris and a soft, airy opening, and to a bottle designed to be refilled.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu
Coco Mademoiselle dates from 2001, when it was created by Jacques Polge. Crush Absolu is a new version created by Olivier Polge, with Gracie Abrams as the face of the campaign. It launched in September 2026.
The notes start with a grapefruit and lychee accord, followed by rose and jasmine. The base is a potent patchouli lifted by ambery notes. Wallpaper lists the fragrance at £160.
The campaign film was directed by Joe Wright and is set on a night in Paris.

Best for: readers who want a bright, fruit-led opening that settles into patchouli and amber.
How to choose
The three sit in different families, so the choice is largely a matter of taste. They also span almost nine decades: L'Heure Bleue dates from 1912, Miss Dior from 1947 and Coco Mademoiselle from 2001. Each house has kept the name and the idea while changing the formula, so these are fresh versions rather than copies of the originals.
- Choose Miss Dior for rose, vanilla and a warm, creamy character, at £150.
- Choose L'Heure Bleue for iris, orange blossom and a refillable bottle, from £78.
- Choose Crush Absolu for grapefruit, lychee and patchouli, at £160.
If you are choosing a gift, the bottle may help to decide. Miss Dior's interchangeable bows let the bottle be dressed to taste, while L'Heure Bleue's refill is the one designed to be kept and used again.
Rose, vanilla and iris are long-standing favourites in Gulf perfumery, and many readers layer Western eaux de parfum with oud. If you do, test any of the three on skin first and give it time to settle, since the base notes show a fragrance's real character.
